Our Day at YesterLand Farm

We had so much fun with the boys at YesterLand Farm on Sunday. It was the perfect fall day and all three were in great moods! Boston hung with the big boys until he tuckered out and then spent the rest of the time snoozing in his stroller. David helped the boys win a pumpkin at the Corn Cannon and Jackson thought he could pick out the most gigantic pumpkin on the property and tackled it...we wound up with the regular Jack-o-lantern kind that Carter nearly fell asleep on at the end of our trip:)It was a great day!

These kids could not be any cuter! Little Man is such a charmer (he even posed himself) and sister girl is so precious. The whole family is just beautiful! It's That Time!

It's hard to believe it's time to start planning family Christmas Cards! I'm offering a new option this year. For $25, I'll design a custom 5x7 Christmas Card for your family that is on a disk that you will be able to take to your choice of developer (WalMart, Target, Snapfish, etc.) to develop. You will simply develop it as you would a 5x7 print and it will be on their photo paper.

For those of you who prefer the full color front and back pearl cardstock that I've done for you in the past, that will still be an option as well. A set of 25 5x7 cards with envelopes will be $45. The company that I use has also come out with a line of beautiful boutique shaped cards (scalloped, circles, and many many many more shapes). The shapes are so much fun and I will be using one of those myself this year! A set of 25 shaped cards with envelopes will be $68.

Any of these cards can be done with a picture you've taken yourself and email to me or we can set up a photo session and use one (or several!) from your session.

Here are a few examples of cards I've done in the past. I have many styles to choose from or we can create a unique card with your ideas!

Dylan, Izzy, and their aunts Michelle & Vicky were so fun to photograph. Dylan is quite the little charmer and one of the cutest little boys ever! Izzy was so shy, but we managed to get a few smiles out of her when her mom teasingly threatened to spank her brother! Gotta love her adorable outfits. The whole crew couldn't be more stylish! I had the pleasure of teaching Michelle when she was a 4th grader and it is always great to see her again as well as little sister Vicky.

I had so much fun with Parker, Brett, Crew, and Kate! These kids are the cutest little things! Brett and Crew loved to ham it up and have such fun personalities...they made me laugh quite a bit! Parker was more serious and taking his role as big brother in full stride. Kate was full on smiles when she was aware of the camera's presence and offered 'cheese' anytime it pointed at her...I had to sneak up on her to catch some unexpected expressions. It was hard to pick just a few images and I could have easily blogged a lot more than this!

Favorite New Product

This is my favorite new thing! These wallets are TWO SIDED (!) and printed on heavy card stock with a glossy finish for a very upscale look!! They have beautiful round corners as well (not shown in examples below). They can be used to give away as you would with traditional wallets or you can give them as enclosure cards with children's birthday gifts. There are so many options (a different child on each side, many patterns and fonts to choose from, etc). I can also make these without a picture for adult/family use when you give gifts of your own (wedding, baby, birthday, etc). They are sold in sets of 50 for $36. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THEM!! Here are just a few examples to look at....you can tell I really love blue and yellow right now...so Springy!

I am a wife, mother of two rambunctious boys, and a part time teacher. God has truly blessed every area of my life and I can’t even imagine the wonderful plans He has in store for my future!

Among many things I am a chocoholic, shopaholic, Ebayaholic, Longhorn fan, and a tad bit OCD. I love decorating and working on projects around the house with my husband and am always on the lookout for furniture that needs a little TLC.

I am delving into the world of photography thanks to my beautiful children. Since the birth of my first child, I've wanted to capture everyday moments in a beautiful way. My goal in photographing anyone is to capture who they truly are so that their personality is reflected in their photographs. My style leans more toward capturing life as it happens rather than stiffly posed shots. I love images that show the person’s true personality or how the people in the photo interact with one another. I am still learning and developing my newfound interest!
